Laurent J. Bourque
SHEDIAC - Laurent J. Bourque, 87, of Villa Providence, Shediac, and formerly of Résidence Beauséjour, Shediac, passed away suddenly at his residence on Wednesday, August 7, 1996.
Born in Scoudouc, he was the son of the late Edmond T. and Celina (Vienneau) Bourque. He was a member of St. Jacques-Le-Majeur Roman Catholic Church, Scoudouc. He worked as a Bricklayer for 35 years. He was a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen Association and a past member of the Golden Age Club in Scoudouc.
He will be sadly missed by his five daughters, Thérèse Bourque and her husband Normand of Shediac, Hélèna Reath and her husband John and Florence Girouard and her husband Emile, both of Moncton, Régina Belliveau and her husband Léonard and Annette Hamilton and her husband Danny, both of Dieppe; one son, Paul-Emile and his wife Carmen of Dieppe; 18 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Madeleine (Léger) Bourque in 1980; two daughters, Bernice Cormier, in 1994 and Cécile in 1987; six sisters, Hélène Melanson, Régina Lebel, Herminie Pellerin, Elizabeth Léger, Marie Melanson and Catherine Boudreau; six brothers, Tilmon, Zoel, Edouard, Alfred, Antoine and Aimé Bourque.
Resting at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 88 Church Street, Moncton, (858-1900) with visiting hours on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at St. Jacques-Le-Majeur Roman Catholic Church, Scoudouc, on Friday, August 9, 1996 at 7 p.m. Interment in the Parish Cemetery.
