Rudolph Pinette
The death of Rudolph Pinette of 165 Reese Lane, Bathurst, occurred suddenly on July 24, 1994, upon arrival at the Enfant Jesus Hospital in Caraquet. He was 76.
Born in Bathurst, He was a son of the late Maurice and Lena (Lavigne) Pinet.
He worked for Stone Consolidated Inc. (now Stone Container (Canada) Inc.) until his retirement in 1981, and was a member of its Quarter Century Club.
He was also a member of the Denis Fournier Senior Citizens’ Club, and of the Club Age d’Or in Bertrand.
He served overseas with the North Shore Regiment during the Second World War, and was a member of the Herman J. Good V.C. Branch No. 18 Royal Canadian Legion in Bathurst. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Lina Chamberlain in 1984. He is survived by his second wife, the former Florence (Aubie) Vienneau two sons, Earl (Diane) and Keith (Ola), both of Bathurst two daughters, Joyce Haines (Fraser) and Barbare Guignard (Elzéar), both of Bathurst two step-daughters Betty Mallais and Joan O’Neil (Stephen), both of Bathurst; seven grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother Walter and one sister, Violet Castaldi, both of Hamilton, Ont.; and several nieces and nephews
The body is resting at Elhatton’s Funeral Home, Bathurst. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 27, at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Bathurst beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery
A legion memorial service was held at the funeral home on July 26.
