Mrs. Ruth E. Hopper, 70, of Ayer Avenue, Moncton, passed away on Monday, September 9, 1996 at her residence.
Born in Colpitts Settlement, she was the daughter of the late Sanford and Mabel (Leaman) Colpitts. She was a former employee of Blue Cross of Atlantic Canada and Sears Canada Inc., Moncton. She was a member of Mountain View United Church, a member of the church U.C.W. and a former church Elder and Sunday School Teacher.
She is survived by her husband, Randy (Randall) R. Hopper; two daughters, Myra Leger of Moncton, Krista Hopper at home; two sons, Rodney Hopper (Linda) and Dwight Hopper (Glendine), both of Moncton; eight grandchildren; Danny, Rick, Shawn, Angela, Erika, Meghan, Steven and Scott; two great grandchildren, Brian and Mellissa; four sisters, Irene Horton of Moncton, Marilyn Grewe (Gerry) of North Bay, Ont., Lila Colpitts of Montreal, Que., Joan Colpitts (Dale) of Fredericton; one brother, Gordon Colpitts (Joan) of Colpitts Settlement; several nieces and nephews.
Resting at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) with visiting hours on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 11, 1996 at 4 p.m. with Rev. Holly Edsall officiating. The family will receive guests in the Funeral Home Reception Room following the service. Interment in Colpitts Settlement Cemetery.
