LEGER, Anthony "Tony"
Anthony "Tony" Leger, 30, of Birge Rd., Bristol, entered into eternal life Tuesday (Dec. 1, 1998) at the John Dempsey Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. He was born June 23, 1968 and was the beloved son of Ray and Cathy Leger and the brother of Jeffrey Leger. Tony was a 1986 graduate of St. Paul Catholic High School. He was Valedictorian of The 1996 class at Tunxis Community College. While at Tunxis, he was President of Student Government and Treasure of PTK National Honor Society. While attending Tunxis, he was also a student at Central Connecticut State University. He was a foreign exchange student to the United Kingdom (University of Lancaster in Preston, England) from 1996-1997. He was on the National Deans List and Secretary of Electoral Assembly of Connecticut Colleges. He was also a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. At the time of his death, he was pursuing a degree in International Business Law. He was a member of St. Matthew Church. Besides his parents and brother, he leaves his paternal grandmother, Zelica Leger of Bristol; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be Saturday 10 a.m. from the O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville, to St. Matthew Church for a Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday, 6-9 p.m. Memorial contributions in Tony's name may be made to the Cancer Center at the University of Connecticut Health Center, 263 Farmington Ave., Farmington, CT. 06032.
