Mrs. M. Leger ST. ANTHONY (Special) -
The death of Mrs. Marie Leger, widow of Levie Leger of St. Anthony, occurred at the home of her daughter Mrs. Alyre Bourgeois, Truro, Saturday. She was 98. Born at St. Anthony, she was a daughter of the late Placide and Celeste (Leger) Allain. A housewife, she attended St. Anthony church. Her husband died in 1935. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Maxime Cormier (Alice) of St Anthony, Mrs. Alyre Bourgeois (Melida) of Truro and Mrs. Arthur Gaudet (Edmee) of Hartford Conn.; three sons, Eric of Springfield, Mass., Alfred of New York and Oscar of Saint John; one sister, Mrs. Albanie Gosselin of Plainfield, Conn.; two brothers, John of New Bedford, Conn., and Henri of William Mancel, Mass.; 26 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The body is resting at Frenette's funeral home, 88 Church Street, Moncton. The funeral will be held from St. Anthony church today at 11:15 a.m. Entombment will be in St. Anthony cemetery vault to await burial in the spring.
