    Word has been received by Mrs. Alfred N. Leger of Leger Corner, of the death of her mother, Mrs. Thaddee Arsenault, which occurred after a brief illness on Wednesday noon at Rogersville. Mrs. Arsenault is survived by three sons, Marcel of Warner, N.H., Placide of St. Anselme, Pierre of Rogersville, with whom she resided, and a daughter, Mrs. Leger of Leger Corner.

    Cape Bald Native Dies Unexpectantly

    The death of Emery Brun occcurred suddenly Tuesday at his home in Lower Cape Bald. Mr. Brun was apparently in good health and had just returned home from church when he was seiged with an attack and died before medical aid could reach him. An outstanding citizen of his community, he was the manager of the Cape Bald Fisherman's Association, a director in the Caisse Popular, and a director of the Co-Operative store in Cape Bald. He is survived by his wife, the former Elise Landry, thirteen children, and his mother. Surviving sons are: Alfred, Almee, Adrice, Regis all of Toronto; Omer, of Cape Bald, Armand of Moncton, and Romuld of Lower Cape Bald. Daughters are: Mrs. Gervais Leger (Lorraine), of Leger Brook, Mrs. Fernand Saulnier (Leoline), of Dupuis Corner, Mrs. John Paul Maillet (Marie), of Sudbury, Ont., Mrs. Victor Mazerolle (Eva), also of Sudbury, Mrs. Adelard Savoie (Alin), of Toronto and Miss Laurida Brun, at home. he also leaves four sisters - Mrs. Dauphine Fagan, of Pictou, N.S., Mrs. Melrose Landry, of Cape Bald, Mrs. Elizabeth Vautour, Cape Bald, and Miss Sarah Brun, of Cape Bald. There are also four brothers - Emile, Dosithe, Alyre, and Adelard, all of Cape Bald. He also leaves 32 Grandchildren. The body is resting at his late home, and the funeral will be held Friday morning at 9 o'clock at the Cape Bald Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in tha parish cemetery.

    Funeral for Mrs. M. J. Leger

    The funeral service for Mrs. J. Medard Leger was held at Notre Dame de Grace Church in Parkton on Saturday with solemn requiem high mass celebrated by Rev. Rodolph Godin, superior of the White Fathers mission, assisted by Rev. J. G. Pellerin and Rev. Fidele LeBlanc, pastor and curate of the parish church. Pallbearers were Raymond Leger, Michael Leger, Albert Melanson, Philip Lirette, Lionel Cormier and Eloi Gaudet. Numerous mass cards and other expressions of sumpathy were recieved by the family of the deceased. Attending the funeral from outside points were Alfred Bourque of Lynn, Mass., Mr. and Mrs. Celestin Leger, Denis Leger, Michael Leger, Miss Suzanne Leger, all of Caraquet; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Leger of Bathurst and Rev. Oscar Bourque, pastor of Ste. Marie Kent, who recited final burial prayers at the graveside. Also many other relatives and friends from Shediac, Scoudouc and Lakeburn.

    John B. Leger Dies at Age 47 - Barachois (Special) -

    The death of John Baptiste Leger, 47, occurred suddenly on Wednesday evening at his home in Barachois. Mr. Leger was a carpenter by trade, and had worked on Wednesday in Moncton, where he was employed by the Macbeath Constuction and Supply Company, Ltd. He became ill that evening, and was pronouced dead when medical aid arrived. He is survived by his wife, the former Marguerite Terriault; one son, Gerald, and a daughter, Jeannine, both at home; one sister, Mrs. Elionora Leger, of Barachois, three brothers, Alphee, of Fitchburg, Mass., Stanislas of Shediac, and Edgar of Barachois. The body is resting at the home, from where the funeral will be held to the St. Henri de Barachois Church on Saturday morning at nine o'clock. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

    The death of Mrs. Hector Cormier, the former Elizabeth Cormier, occurred at her home, 250 High Street Saturday evening following a lengthy illness. She leaves to mourn, in addition to her husband, four sons - Rev. J. A. Dailgle, St. Louis de Kent; Arthur and Eloi, both of Saint John; Aurele, of St. Anselme; eight daughters - Mrs. Angus LeBlanc (Laura), Dieppe; Mrs. Oliver Blanchard (Alma), Toronto; Mrs. Alban Gallant (Albertine), Souris, P.E.I.; Mrs. Fred LeBlanc (Lina), Pre d'en Haut, mother Saint John, C.N.D., (Maria), Caraquet; Mrs. Francois Cormier (Antoinette) Ottawa; Mrs. John Doiron (Yvette), Rimouski; Mrs. George Poirier (Cecile), Shediac Bridge; one sister, Mrs. Zoel Leger, of Moncton. Also surviving are seven-step sons and six-step daughters - Emile, of Moncton; Edmond, St. Anselme; Rev. Noel, Venezuala; Rev. Clarence, Bathurst; Rev. Clarence, Bathurst; Aurele, of Moncton; Laurie, of Dieppe; Step-daughters are: Rev. Sr. Marie Rose Aimee, Shediac; Rev. Sr. Marie Cecile Desanges, Bouctouche; Rev. Sr. Elise Marie, Moncton; Rev. Sr. Marie Aimee, Moncton; Mrs. Alban Drisdelle (Marie), Moncton; Mrs. Dr. Jean-Eudes Comeau (Helene); Mrs. Gerald Arsenault (Zelia). The body is resting at Frenette's Funeral Parlor, St. George Street. The funeral will be held from Christ the King Church, where requiem mass will be celebrated Tuesday morning at ten o'clock. Interment will be in the Shediac Cemetery Vault.

    The death of Albanie O. Leger occurred at the home of his son, Antoine, Lewisville, early this morning following a long illness.

    He was 82 years old and was the last surviving member of a family of 14. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Octave Leger, Memramcook.

    He is survived by his wife, the former Elise Bourgeois, Memramcook and three sons, Sifroi, Springfield, Mass., Leo, New York and Antoine.

    The body is resting at his son's home, Lewsiville. Funeral arrangements will be annuonced later.

    Il laisse dans le deuil outre sa femme, Elise Bourgeois, de Memramcook, et ses trois fils, Sifroi, de Springfield, Mass; Léo de New York et Antoine.

    La dépouille est exposé chez son fils Antoine et les funérailles auront lieu jeudi à 8 heures à l'église St-Louis de France de Lewisville suivis de l'inhumtion à Memramcook.

    Death Claims Shediac Man - Shediac (Special) -

    The death of Eddie Boudreau, age 70, occurred at Hotel Dieu in Moncton on Saturday evening, following a short illness. Mr. Boudreau had worked for Robert Simpson Eastern Ltd., when a young man, and later for R.C. Tait Co., of Shediac. He later purchased a farm, and at the time of his death was a prominent and properous farmer in the Shediac area. He also conducted a large dairy, which bears his name. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Gerald Dupuis (Anna) of Shediac, Miss Alveta Boudreau of Waltham, Mass.; two sons, Neri and Alcide, both of Shediac; three brothers, Philip of Delaware, Maryland, Tilman of Upper Aboujagane and Euphraim of Robichaud Office; five sisters, Mrs. Elsie Boudreau of Boudreau Office, Mrs. Domien Bourque and Mrs. Eugene Thibodeau of Cape Bald, Mrs. Emile Legere of Little Cape, and Mrs. Alphe Thibodeau of Cormier Village. Three grandchildren also survive. The body is resting at the home, and funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at nine o'clock in St. Joseph's Church, Shediac. Interment will be in the family lot at Shediac.

    Funeral Mrs. A. Leger Held -

    The funeral for Mrs. Margaret (Maggie) Leger, wife of the late Alyre Leger, 166 Victoria Street, Moncton, who died Saturday morning in Hotel Dieu, was held this week in Assumption Cathedral. Requiem high mass was celebrated by Rev. Leo-Paul LeBlanc, Nephew of the deceased, assisted by Rev. Paul Breau as deacon and Rev. Francois Roy as sub-deacon . Rev, George Leger was present in the sanctuary. The pallbearers were Roger LeBlanc, Anselme LeBlanc, Edgar LeBlanc, Henry LeBlanc and Joseph LeBlanc, all nephews of Mrs. Leger and Emmett Savard. The service was largely attended by relatives and friends from Moncton, Memramcook Barachois, Shediac and other parishes. The body was placed in the receiving vault of Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Chartersville, until interment at a later date in the family lot. Prayers at the vault were recited by Rev. LeBlanc.

    P. P. LeBlanc Dies at 84 -

    The death of Philippe P. LeBlanc, formally of College Bridge, occurred in Hotel Dieu here Wednesday. He was 84. Mr. LeBlanc was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Pierre (Mary Dupuis) LeBLanc. Surviving are a brother, Seriole, College Bridge and two sisters, Mrs. Willie Leger (Exelda), Cormier's Cove and Miss Vezina LeBlanc, St. Joseph. Funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. from St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, St. Joseph. The body will rest in Shediac until Saturday.

The pallbearers were Alban, Norman, Gilbert, Emile, Fernand and Valmond LeBlanc, nephews of the deceased. Interment was in the Barachois cemetery. The death of Mrs. Leger, the former Edmee LeBlanc, Barachois, occurred in the Moncton Hospital after a long illness. She was 60 years of age and was born in Barachois, a daughter of the late Gaspard and Delphine LeBlanc. Surviving besides her husband are seven sons, Clorice, Amedee, Robichaud Office, Donald, Rene and Fernand, Moncton, Eddie and Henry, Shediac; four daughters, Mrs. Wilfred LeBlanc, St Anselme, Mrs. Oscar Cormier, Moncton and Rev Sister Mary Alfred and Rev. Sister Mary Angele of the Congregation of the Daughters of Jesus, Humphrey; four sisters, Mrs. Gaspard Gagnon, Mrs. Alphee Doiron, Mrs. Jude Gaudet and Mrs. Philip Boudreau, Barachois; six brothers, Sifroid, Gaspard, Nap, Adolphe, Eddie and Camille LeBlanc, Barachois. Nineteen grandchildren also survive.

    Edmond D. Leger of 5 Ste. Anne Street, Shediac, died suddenly at his home at 7. p.m. Monday evening, May 22. He was a native of St. Anthony and had lived in Shediac for the past 11 years. Funeral mass will be held at the Shediac Roman Catholic Church at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 25. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

    The death of Paul Eudore Leger of St. Joseph occurred at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital Wednesday morning following a brief illness. He was 49. Born in St. Joseph, he was a son of the late Lucien M. Leger and the former Evangeline LeBlanc. He is survived by his mother, his wife, the former Marguerite LeBlanc, two daughters, Ann Mary and Alice; and five sons, Paul Eugene, Henry, Donald, Lucien and Julien, all at home; two sisters, Mrs. Edgar A. LeBlanc (Oliva) St Joseph and Miss Lydianne Leger, Saint John; seven brothers, Rev. Guy Leger CSC, University of Moncton; Joseph Edward, Toronto, Leonard, Alban, Heribert and Charles Auguste, all of St. Joseph. The body is resting at Dupuis funeral home, Memramcook with funeral service to be held Friday night at 8 o'clock from St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

    Death of F. Legere - Sackville (Special) -

    Frank Legere, 78, of Port Elgin died in the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Wednesday following a lenghthy illness. He was born at Melrose, son of the late Jaddeus and Mathilda (Cormier) Legere. He was a machinist for 50 years and a member of St. Clement's Roman Cathlolic Church and of the Holy Name Society. Survivors include his second wife, the former Eleanor Shea; six sons, Cecil and Roy, Moncton, Amos and Ernest, Hamilton, Leonard; Calgary and Albert, Sackville; three daughters, Mrs. Leonard LeBlanc (Katherine), Moncton, Mrs. Leon Cormier (Doris), Pictou and Mrs. Emile LeBLanc (Sara), Little Cape; two sisters, Mrs. George LeBlanc and Miss Elizabeth Legere, Port Elgin; 40 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. The body is resting at Jones Funeral Home in Port Elgin from where the service will be held on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

    Death Dr. G. L. LeBlanc - Rexton (Special) -

    The death of Dr. Gonzaque L. LeBlanc occurred at his home Tuesday. He was 68 years of age, born in Dupuis Corner, a son of the late Alphonse and Sarah (Goguen) LeBlanc. He was a member of the Holy Name Society. Dr. LeBlanc, a dentist, spent 45 of his professional years in Rexton. He is survived by his wife, the former Grace Doucet of Richibucto; two daughters, Carmen of Saint John and Mrs. Karl Wentzell (Rochelle) of Souris, P.E.I.; two sons Conrad of Rexton and Ferdenand of Ottawa; one sister, Mrs. Leah Leger of Shediac and one brother, Ovilla, of Waltham, Mass., five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The body is resting at Thompson's funeral home in Richibucto. Funeral arrangements will be announced.

    The death of John Robichaud of Moncton occurred Friday ar Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 78. Born in St. Charles, Kent County he was the son of the late Jacques and Marie Blanche (Leger) Robichaud. He was a laborer retiring in 1960. Mr. Robichaud attended Assumption Cathedral. Survivors include his wife, the former Rosearma LeBlanc; two daughters, Mrs. Innio Midum (Helen), and Miss Marie, both of Waltham, Mass.; three adopted daughters, Mrs. Andrew Steeves (Therese), Moncton, Miss Louise Robichaud, Dieppe; and Miss Sandra Robichauds, at home; three adopted sons, Donald, Louis and Rheal, all of Moncton; two sisters, Mrs. Alverie Mitchell of Moncton and Mrs. Louis Doiron of Dieppe and three grandchildren. The body is resting at Frenette's funeral home, Moncton with funeral service to be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock from Assumption Cathedral. interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery.

    Dies after Fall - Shediac (Special) -

    A 37 year old Shediac woman a resident of the Provincial House here, died Wednesday four hours after falling from a balcony 19 feet to the ground below. Shediac Town Police said Miss. Ulisa Arsenault died in the Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital in Moncton at 3 p.m. after the 11 a.m. fall. After the fall she was rushed to the Shediac Hospital and then transferred to Moncton. Town police say the woman was sitting on the balcony at the home and apparently lost her balance falling to the ground. The Shediac coroner ordered that an autopsy be performed but no decision was made on whether or not an inquest will be held. Born in Charterville, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Celestin Arsenault and attended St. Anselme Roman Catholic CHurch. She is survived by her parents; six sisters, Mrs. Fred Roy (Lena), Lewisville, Mrs. Gerald Boudreau (Yvonne), Miss Jeannette Arsenault, Mrs. Oscar LeBlanc (Aurore), all of Moncton, Mrs. George LeBlanc (Jackie), Chartersville, and Mrs. Val Leger (Colombe), Toronto; three brothers, Isidore, Charterville, Ernest, Lewisville, and Ronald, Lakeburn. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from St. Anselme Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Anselme Roman Catholic Cemetery. The body is resting at Frenette's Funeral Home in Moncton.
