    84, Rockingham, died August 25, 1996, in the Halifax Infirmary. Born in Port Greville, Cumberland Co., he was a son of the late J. Leonard and Maude (Welsh) Grant. He was retired from the Canadian National Railway where he worked as a locomotive engineer for 35 years. He was a life elder and member of Rockingham United Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Lottie Clements; son, Leonard, Rockingham; daughter, Joan (Mrs. Claude Hemeon), Dartmouth; sisters, Mrs. Agnes Burgess, Berwick; Mrs. Margaret Allen, Amherst; Shirley MacGillivary, Bible Hill; Lois (Mrs. Peter Legere), Ontario; brothers, Douglas, Shad Bay; James A., Halifax; Kenneth, Ontario; Gerald, Prince Edward Island; Carrol, Calgary, Alta.; two granddaughters; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Georgina Duffy, Alta Webster, Carmeta (Lehtonen) Sweet; brothers, Donald, Arthur, Joseph. Funeral 2 p.m. today in Rockingham United Church, Rev. Arlene Riches officiating. Reception to follow in church hall. Burial in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Donations to Rockingham United Church, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or any charity. Arrangements entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, Lower Sackville.

    JOHNSON, George Albert -

    72, 5299 Prospect Rd., New Minas, died February 18, 1993, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late James and Bertha (Swinamer) Johnson. He served overseas in the Second World War in the second division of the R.C.C.S. He was an electronic engineer in Dartmouth for several years. He is survived by his wife, the former Kathleen Johnson; three daughters, Ann (Mrs. Kevin Legere), Kentville; Sylvia Bennett, New Minas; Kathleen (Mrs. Jim Bennett), Long Beach Road, Canning; seven sons, Robert, Oklahoma; William, Victoria, B.C.; Leslie, Coldbrook; Russell, Thomas, Gordie, all of Kentville; Richard, Wolfville; three sisters, Marguerite (Mrs. William

    Arnold), East Jeddore; Marie (Mrs. Henry Lambardo), Kentville; Viola Burns, Ontario; brother, William, Dartmouth; 23 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Rita in infancy; brother, Jim; sister, Florence. The body is in W.C. Hiltz Funeral Home, Kentville, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today and Sunday, where a Kings Branch 6, Royal Canadian Legion service will be 7 p.m. Sunday, and where funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, Canon S.J.P. Davies officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.

    SUSSEX, NB - Frederic Watters Bone of Sussex passed away at his residence on March 12, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born August 3, 1926, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Clara (Magee) Bone. Fred Graduated from Moncton High School and following service in the Canadian Army during World War II graduated from Provincial Normal School, Fredericton, NB and Bradley University, Peoria, lLL, USA, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Arts. He taught school in NB for 30 years retiring in 1980. He is survived by Jean M. (McMillan), his beloved wife of 54 years; two brothers, Rev. Lawrence Bone and his wife, Beulah of Bridgewater, NS and Wallis Bone and his wife, Daisy of Moncton; his sister-in-law, Nan Leger and several nieces and nephews. Fred was predeceased by his brother, Ralph V. Bone. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Dr, Sussex, NB (506) 433-1176. Visitation will be held at Wallace Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2006 at 2:00pm from Sussex Wesleyan Church, Chapman Drive with Rev. Peter Hayes officiating. The interment will take place at the Wesleyan Cemetery, Head of Millstream. In Lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.

    Wilfred Caissie, 95, of Shediac died Monday at the Villa Providence Home following a lengthy illness. Born in Grand Digue, he was the son of the late joseph and Marceline (Poirier) Caissie. His wife Herminie (Babineau) Caissie died in May, 1982. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Albinie Leger (Louise) of Shediac and Mrs. Louis Poirier (Josephine) pf Shediac Bridge; one son, Eric of Dupuis Corner, 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The body is at Frenette's Home in Shediac until funeral service Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Henri du Barachois Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
