Mr. Ledger attended schools in Littleton and Houlton. He resided in North Amity from a very young age, where he worked in farming, logging, and driving a truck. During his retirement, Mr. Ledger enjoyed gardening, woodworking, helping his sons out and spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Ledger was married to Pauline Farrar in 1954 and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Houlton. Following Pauline's death in 1981, Joseph met and married Dawn Quint and they enjoyed 19 wonderful years together.6

Mr. Ledger attended schools in Littletown and Houlton, Maine. Growing up in Maine, he moved to Windsor Locks as an adult and had resided in Portland for the last 24 years. He was employed as a truck driver, was a member of the Teamsters Union and was employed by Manchester Gravel Company. Serving his country, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Saint Mary Church, the Falcons Club #519, the Eagles Club #68, the Moose Lodge #1541, the VFW in both Portland and Middletown and the AmVets Post 0018 in Enfield.5
