Aubrey M. Prosser -
Aubrey M. (Jake) Prosser, 83, of Riverview, with his loving family at his side, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, April 16, 2008. Born in Melrose, Mass., he was the son of the late Jacob and Ida (Jennex) Prosser. A carpenter, Aubrey was formerly employed with S.H. Steeves & Son Contracting Ltd. (19 years service); self employed (13 years) and retired from NB Power (1986). He attended Wesley Memorial United Church, member of the Riverview Veterans & Armed Forces Association and Moncton Legion Branch #6. He was a Veteran of WWII, served overseas with the Combat Engineers (RCE) in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Aubrey was a very quiet and gentle man, a loving husband, father, grandfather who enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. Aubrey will be sadly missed by his wife of over 51 years, Theresa (Gallant) Prosser; daughters, Susan Leger (Terry), Moncton, Barbara Corkum (Keith), Ottawa; son, David, Ottawa; grandchildren, Che Corkum (Melanie), Kristin Corkum (Amy), both of Ottawa, Benjamin Leger, Moncton; several cousins. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents, predeceased by one brother, Gordon (1962). Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Saturday, 2 to 4, 7 to 9 pm. Riverview Veterans & Armed Forces Association and Moncton Legion #6 Memorial Service, Saturday, 6:45 pm. Funeral service at Wesley Memorial United Church, Sunday, April 20, 2008, 2:00 pm, Rev. Dr. Philip Griffin-Alwood, Rev. Ron Maund officiating. Reception in the Church Hall following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Dumont Hospital, Moncton following a courageous battle with cancer. Born July 16, 1941 in Shediac, he was the son of the late Percy and Juliette (Boudreau) Biddington. He was owner and operator of Maritime Muffler in Shediac. He enjoyed stock car racing, boating and traveling. Kenny will be remembered by all for his good sense of humour. He is survived by a special companion, Janice Ann Landry and her son André (Tammy Melanson) of Peticodiac; two daughters, Darlene Biddington of Shediac River and Sandra Biddington of Boudreau Office; three sons, David (Ginette) of Dieppe, Steven (Lynn) of Shediac River and Kenneth Jr. (Nancy) of Boudreau Office; the mother of their children and former wife, Géraldine Léger of Shediac; three sisters, Dina Brun (Romuald) of Dieppe, Pauline Biddington and Nancy Boudreau (Paul) of Moncton; his mother-in-law Rita Léger (late Blair) of Grand Barachois; six grandchildren, Ashley, Melissa, Tylor, Aaron, Keïla and James and by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Kenneth "Kenny" Biddington SHEDIAC, NB - Kenneth "Kenny" Biddington, 65, of Hannington Road, Shediac passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2006 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton following a courageous battle with cancer. Born July 16, 1941 in Shediac, he was the son of the late Percy and Juliette (Boudreau) Biddington. He was owner and operator of Maritime Muffler in Shediac. He enjoyed stock car racing, boating and traveling. Kenny will be remembered by all for his good sense of humour. He is survived by a special companion, Janice Ann Landry and her son André (Tammy Melanson) of Peticodiac; two daughters, Darlene Biddington of Shediac River and Sandra Biddington of Boudreau Office; three sons, David (Ginette) of Dieppe, Steven (Lynn) of Shediac River and Kenneth Jr. (Nancy) of Boudreau Office; the mother of their children and former wife, Géraldine Léger of Shediac; three sisters, Dina Brun (Romuald) of Dieppe, Pauline Biddington and Nancy Boudreau (Paul) of Moncton; his mother-in-law Rita Léger (late Blair) of Grand Barachois; six grandchildren, Ashley, Melissa, Tylor, Aaron, Keïla and James and by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Tuesday, September 19, 2006 from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and Wednesday, September 20, 2006 from 9:30a.m. until time of departure (10:20a.m.). Née à Moncton, elle était fille de feu Édouard Léger et de feu Eléonore Cormier. Outre son époux, elle laisse dans le deuil un fils, Joseph (Denise) de Moncton, ainsi qu’un frère, Télesphore «Telex» d’Irishtown. La dépouille mortelle est présentement exposée au salon funéraire Frenette, 88, rue Church à Moncton. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église St-Lawrence-O’Toole d’Irishtown, le mercredi 16 août, à 10h. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial. IRISHTOWN - À l’Hôpital régional Dr Georges-L. Dumont de Moncton, le lundi 14 août 2000, à l’âge de 79 ans, est décédée Eva Surette, épouse de Laurie Surette, domiciliée à Irishtown. Née à Moncton, elle était fille de feu Édouard Léger et de feu Eléonore Cormier. Outre son époux, elle laisse dans le deuil un fils, Joseph (Denise) de Moncton, ainsi qu’un frère, Télesphore «Telex» d’Irishtown. La dépouille mortelle est présentement exposée au salon funéraire Frenette, 88, rue Church à Moncton. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église St-Lawrence-O’Toole d’Irishtown, le mercredi 16 août, à 10h. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial. Edmund (Ed) J. Drisdelle, 90, of Moncton, with his family at his side, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Emile and Beatrice (Legere) Drisdelle. Ed was a retired CNR Plant Chief with 30 years service. He enjoyed tinkering with electronics, spending the winter months in Florida, boating and time at the family cottage in Parlee Beach. Ed will be sadly missed by his daughters, Paulette LeBlanc (Don) and Claudette (Coy) Drisdelle, both of Moncton; grandson, Jason MacDonald; great granddaughter, Abigail; sister, Cecile Belliveau, Moncton; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, predeceased by his wife Doris (Arsenault) (1978); sisters, Delia, Eva, Mary, Obeline, Alice, Lea, Rita, Phyllis, Viola; brothers, Leo, Clarence. No visitation by personal request. Funeral service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Saturday, April 26, 2008, 11:00 am, Rev. Harold MacDonald officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. In Ed's memory, donations to the Canadian Diabetic Association or the Dr. Georges-L.
