He was predeceased by his wife, the former Marjorie Carver; a brother Pieus. The body will be in Furlong's Funeral home, where visiting will be 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. He is survived by his wife, the former Dorothy LeGere; daughter, Joan (Mrs. Eric Orde), Granville Ferry, Annapolis County; son, Greg, Westfield, Queens County; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas. The body is in St. Jerome's Roman Catholic Church, visiting 7-9 p.m. today, where prayers will be 8 p.m. tonight, and where funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Rev. Michael Theriault officiating. Burial will be in St. Jerome's Roman Catholic Cemetery, West Caledonia. Donations may be made to any charity. Arrangements are under the direction of Chandlers' Funeral Home, Liverpool.

    The death of Edna Legere, age 99, wife of Alban Legere, occurred on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital Born in Port Elgin, she was a daughter of the late Maximillian and Zoe (Arsenault) Richard. Edna was a member of the St. Vincent Roman Catholic Church, Sackville. Edna will be sadly missed by her two grandchildren, Christine (Robert) Pritchard and Allan (Cathy) Legere; two great grandchildren, Ryan and Brooklyn; a brother, Emile (Doris) Richard, Sackville. She was predeceased by her husband, Alban Legere (1974); two sons, Charlie and John; and a daughter, Mona; four brothers, Tilman , Adelore, Rene, and Joseph; three sisters, Alice, Hazel and Alvina. Edna's remains have been entrusted into the care of the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300). A funeral mass will be celebrated from St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church, Sackville on Friday, November 9, 2007 at 4 pm. Rev. Father Allison Carroll officiating. Burial in the Parish Cemetery.     Charles Phillip Legere, 46, of Queen Street, Springhill, died Friday in Colchester Hospital, Truro, as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Born in Saint John, N.B., he was a son of Mrs. Edna (Richard) Legere of Sackville, N.B., and the late Alban Leger. He served 10 years on the Oshawa, Ont. police force; eight years on the Hiram Walker security ploice force and at the time of his death was the vice-president of Springhill Upholstery Limited. Surviving are his wife, the former Hazel Joan Cotton; two daughters, Christine, Oshawa; Sharon, at home; two sons, Allen and Kevin, both at home. He was prececeased by a sister, Mona, and a brother, John. The body is in the A.H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. John's Roman Catholic Church, Spinghill. Rev. Robert Day officiating. Committal will take place in the Springhill receiving vault with burial in the North Street Roman Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

    The death of Edna Legere, age 99, wife of Alban Legere, occurred on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. Born in Port Elgin, she was a daughter of the late Maximillian and Zoe (Arsenault) Richard. Edna was a member of the St. Vincent Roman Catholic Church, Sackville. Edna will be sadly missed by her two grandchildren, Christine (Robert) Pritchard and Allan (Cathy) Legere; two great grandchildren, Ryan and Brooklyn; a brother Emile (Doris) Richard, Sackville. She was predeceased by her husband, Alban Legere (1974); two sons, Charlie and John; a daughter, Mona; four brothers, Tilman, Adelore, Rene and Joseph; three sisters, Alice, Hazel and Alvina. Edna's remains were entrusted into the care of the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300). A funeral mass was celebrated from St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church, Sackville on Friday, November 9, 2007 at 4 p.m., Rev. Father Allison Carroll officiating. Burial in the Parish Cemetery. A time of visitation was held at the Jones Funeral Home on Friday from 1 p.m. until time of departure to the church.

Born in Saint John, N.B., he was a son of Mrs. Edna (Richard) Legere of Sackville, N.B., and the late Alban Leger. He served 10 years on the Oshawa, Ont. police force; eight years on the Hiram Walker security ploice force and at the time of his death was the vice-president of Springhill Upholstery Limited. Surviving are his wife, the former Hazel Joan Cotton; two daughters, Christine, Oshawa; Sharon, at home; two sons, Allen and Kevin, both at home. He was prececeased by a sister, Mona, and a brother, John. The body is in the A.H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. John's Roman Catholic Church, Spinghill. Rev. Robert Day officiating. Committal will take place in the Springhill receiving vault with burial in the North Street Roman Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
