Informations biographiques
Notre mère a vécu de façon autonome dans sa maison jusqu'en janvier 2023, date à laquelle elle a fait une chute. Après un court séjour à l'hôpital, elle a déménagé à L'Auberge du Soleil, à Dieppe, où elle a reçu d'excellents soins et a noué des liens mutuels significatifs avec ses soignants.
Déterminée à passer du temps dans son chalet, maman et son physiothérapeute ont travaillé dur pour retrouver sa mobilité. C'est ainsi qu'elle a pu passer du temps à son chalet de Cap-Pelé cet été.
Maman était généreuse, compatissante, optimiste et voyait le bien dans chacun et chacune. Elle avait une foi inébranlable et la vivait au quotidien. Elle était une cuisinière et une pâtissière hors pair et adorait être dans sa cuisine. Elle avait un pouce vert et à une époque avait suivi un cours en arrangement floral. Maman appréciait les sorties de pêche pour marquer les occasions spéciales de la famille. Elle effectua un voyage à Seattle alors qu'elle avait plus de 90 ans et a célébré son 96 ième anniversaire en Floride. Maman lisait avidement et faisait preuve d'une curiosité naturelle sans limite. Elle était une joueuse de cartes passionnée et enthousiaste et a joué jusqu'à une semaine avant son décès. Notre mère aimait beaucoup la mode et prenait grand soin à son apparence.2
