Employed by CN for 37 years, he retired as General Yard Master. A member of the R.C. Legion, Bedford, Ray enjoyed sports having played Hockey in Suburban League for 16 years.

He always enjoyed going back to the camp with the fellows. He also enjoyed traveling and gardening.

Ray had a great sense of humour and was always happy to do someone a favour.6

After graduating from Eymard Prep in New York, Mr. Bourque served in the United States Marine Corps from 1955 to 1959. In 1961, he began his long tenure as an accountant at the United Shoe Machinery Corp in Beverly, MA. While working full time, he attended night classes and eventually earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting at Bentley College in 1970. In 1998, he retired after 38 years at 'the Shoe'. In his retirement, he spent many happy hours in his shop, tinkering with the woodworking and handy-man projects that he always loved. He and Doris also traveled widely, visiting scores of countries in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Above all, Roland will be remembered for his long marriage to Doris, his constant companion and soulmate, and for their mutual admiration and devotion.5

The family returned to the United States from Bremerhaven, Germany on 10 Jul 1953 Port of Departure: Bremerhaven, Germany. Port of Arrival: New York, New York Ship Name: Upshur He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He was a Green Beret and a member of the 82nd Airborne Division. Mr. Bourque served as a Military CID and a Polygraph examiner during his extensive career in the United States Military. In 1943 age 17, he joined the Navy and on completing his training in England, he landed at Normandy Omaha Beach Amphibian Force. He campaigned through France, Belgium and Holland. He excelled in tactics and Fluent French (11 Dialects). He was a Green Beret, platoon 6th Group Special Force and Ranger 82 Airborne Division. Joe served with distinction in the Military CID for 15 years, predominately in Europe and a Polygraph examiner during his extensive career in the United States Military. Chief Inspector Shape HQ PARIS 1964, he studied at the University of Criminal Law and Criminology Vienna Austria - awarded First in Class by Professor Dr. Roland Grassberger. After retiring as a U.S. Army Major with honors, he became an auctioneer and antique broker. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Salem, NH. His passions were opera, classical music, fly fishing, collectable glass, stamps and reading.8

She was one of 10 siblings. She graduated from St. Ann's Academy Catholic Boarding School in Marlborough, and then worked at General Electric in Lynn for 23 years.

Marie spent the last 15 years volunteering at the Bay Pines Health Care Center Veterans Hospital where she put in over 9000 hours of her time. She lived a very active life and loved to spend time at the beach, fishing at the pier or going to dances. Her generous spirit, compassionate heart and warm smile will be missed by all who knew her.5

Ordonné prêtre s.s.s. par Mgr Camille LeBlanc le 18 septembre. Il se rend à Scoudouc dès le lendemain rendre visite à sa famille acadienne. Une fête fut organisée le 21 au soir chez son oncle Laurent (à la maison paternelle Bourque) réunissant oncles, tantes, cousins et cousines. Une adresse fut lue par son oncle Médard Léger et son grand-oncle Octave Bourque lui présenta une bourse au nom de ses parents et amis acadiens. Les visiteurs repartirent pour Lynn le 23 septembre. De retour à Lynn, le nouveau prêtre célébra sa première grande messe à l'église Saint-Jean-Baptiste. Ses quatre frères, Frère Francis, René, Roland et Bobby servaient la messe. Père Léo choisit la vocation de prêtre missionnaire. Il partit pour les Philippines. Il est décédé en Tanzanie.6

He celebrated 50 years of Profession in 1999. In 2000 he was residing in Cleveland where he was recuperating fom an illness. He was the monastery cook. Considering what he had to work with, Francis was pretty good. His soup was legendary and a religion unto itself. It was made in the tradition of a Chinese ‘LU’. Lu is a flavoring that started in a given family many generations ago. Let’s say you had a sauce. You would save some of it or whatever was left over as the basis for the next sauce and so on and so on down the line. At some point, it’s conceivable that a family LU could be 2000 or 3000 years old. Thus was Brother Francis’ soup, the monastery LU. He had professed vows about twenty years before I arrived as a student there and made his first soup then. Whatever was left over formed the basis for the next soup, and so on until I arrived on the scene twenty years later. We had soup 4 or 5 times a week as a prelude to supper and I never got tired trying to identify all the subtle flavors. While eating the soup, I once thought of Charles Schultz’s Peanuts character Pigpen who said that the dirt that surrounded him was the dirt of history and who knows what biblical or other historical figure may have trod on it. Thus was Brother Francis’ soup.''.7

Bob lived In Lynn, Massachusetts until graduating from Saint John the Baptiste High School in 1961. He attended and graduated from East Coast Aero Tech and then immediately entered the United States Air Force. He was stationed in Lakeland Air Force Base and Charleston Air Force Base. He completed one tour of duty in Vietnam and returned home in 1966. Mr. Bourque was employed by Delta Airlines and retired in 1994 and for the past twelve years had been employed by Auto Color and Finish Masters as an independent delivery driver. He was ill for a very short time and died seven days after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He was a loving and faithful husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.4

Informations biographiques

Résidence: Painsec, NB

Aimé a servi dans l'aviation durant la Deuxième guerre mondiale.. Il a ensuite travaillé chez William Cook's Shoe Store rue Main à Moncton pendant plusieurs années. Par la suite il a travaillé pour Énergie N.B. Aimé et Aurore ont vécu d'abord à Moncton (rue High) et à Lewisville et par la suite ils se sont acheté une maison à Pain Sec. Cette maison fut ensuite déménagée à Scoudouc lorsqu'ils ont dû céder le terrain pour la construction d'une intersection de la route Trans-Canadienne. Aimé et Aurore étaient très accueillants. Lorsque les enfants étaient petits, Aimé n'avait pas de voiture. Souvent l'été toute les familles Bourque et Léger s'entassaient dans la voiture de oncle Médard pour aller visiter la parenté Richard à Sainte-Anne-de-Kent. On faisait asseoir les plus grand d'abord ensuite les plus petits sur les genoux des plus grands et on partait.9
