About a month and a half ago Mr. Richard was removed to the hospital where it was hoped expert treatment and medical care might prolong his life, but gradually weakened until death occurred at the time stated. Although not entirely unexpected, nevertheless his passing will be deeply regreted by a large number of friends and relatives in Moncton and surounding territory where he had spent his entire lifetime. Mr. Richard, who was 76 years of age, was born in Memramcook, and early in life removed to Lakeburn. He came to Moncton in 1911 and had resided in this city since that time. he had been a bricklayer in the employ of the Canadian National Railways, but retired under the Provident Fund, about five years ago. The deceased is survived by his wife, four daughters and four sons. The daughters are Mrs. Ferdinand Bourgeois, fox Creek; Mrs. Adelard LeBlanc, Montreal; Mrs. Edmund Leger, Verdum, and Mrs. Camille Leger, Moncton, and the sons are William, Adelard, Aime and Albany, all of Moncton. Mrs. Simon LeBlanc whose funeral was held yesterday morning, was also a sister and the sympathy of their many friends is extended to the family in their double bereavemnet. The funeral of Mr. Richard will be announced later.
