Mrs. Marie Leger -
Relatives and friends from all sections of the district attended the funeral of Mrs. Marie Leger, wife of Philippe Leger, of this city, which took place in l'Assomption Church yesterday morning. The church was well filled during the service, a fact which combined with the numerous floral tributes, mass cards and other expressions of sympathy received, attested to the high esteem in which Mrs. Leger was held by those who knew her. A solemn high mass of reguiem was sung by Rt. Rev. Mgr. H. D. Cormier, D.P., pastor of the church, assisted by Rev. Father R. Boudreau as deacon, and Rev. Father Pellerin as sub-deacon. The body was placed in the receiving vault in the Shediac Road cemetery and will remain there until spring when interment will be made in Notre Dame. Mrs. Leger's death, which occurred in the family home at 258 High street, occasioned deep regret throughout Westmorland and Kent Counties where she enjoyed the esteem and friendship of a wide circle.
