Informations biographiques
He received his education in Canadian schools.
On July 16, 1928, Mr. Legere married Anita Arsenault in Cap-pele, N.B., Canada, and they immigrated to Maine shortly thereafter and made their home in Riley, where they raised their family. Married for 62 years, Mrs. Legere died in 1990.
He was employed at International Paper Co. in the grinder room at the Riley Mill for 50 years.
Mr. Legere was a member of the company’s Quarter Century Club. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Jay and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
His hobbies included playing cards, traveling, hunting, fishing, trapping, hiking, snowshoeing and target shooting. He was an accomplished musician and enjoyed singing, playing the harmonica and accordion. His favorite time was spent with his children and grandchildren.
