Lorraine LeBlanc Bathurst (Special) -
The death of a Petit Rocher business woman, Mrs. Lorraine LeBlanc, widow of Yvon LeBlanc, occurred Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Dalhousie after an illness of several months. She was 62. Born at Cap Pele, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Alma (Leger) Hebert. She was educated at Notre Dame Convent in Buctouche and attended business college in Newcastle. Following her marriage she moved to Petit Rocher where she and her husband opened a fish processing plant in 1934, which is still in operation. Mrs. LeBlanc handled the administrative aspect of the business. Her husband died in 1972. Surviving are, a daughter, Mrs. Andre Gagne (Janine) of Singapore; three sons, Rev. Charles LeBlanc, of Philadelphia, Alfred, of Moncton, and Guy at Petit Rocher; a sister, Sister Marjorie Hebert of Weymouth, N.S.; a brother, Romeo of Sudbury, Ont.; and five grandchildren. The body is resting at Verret's funeral home, Nigadoo, with service to be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at St. Polycarpe Roman Catholic Church, Petit Rocher. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
