Patrick Cormier -
The death of Patrick Cormier of RR 1, Cocagne, occurred Wednesday at the Stella Maris Hospital in St. Anne de Kent, following a lengthy illness. He was 84. Born in Cocagne, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Maxime Cormier of Cocagne (Zoe Richard). He was a retired farmer, having last worked in 1954. He attended the Cocagne Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Locade (Cormier) Cormier of Cocagne; nine daughters, Mrs. Alfred LeBlanc (Alvina), Cocagne; Mrs. Eli Bourgeois (Aurelle) Grande Digue; Mrs James Hawthorn, (Lucille), Mrs. Zoe Leger (Corine) Sudbury, Ont., Mrs. Francois Babineau (Rosee), Mrs. Ernest Gallant (Emilienne) both of Notre Dame; Mrs. Bill McKay (Helene) Toronto; Mrs. Aurele Bourque (Florine) Moncton and Mrs. Ovila LeBlanc (Eva) Dupuls Corner; four sons, Edgar, Robert, and Emerie, all of Cocagne and Raymond of Waltham, Mass,; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Poirier and Mrs. Exelda Leger, both of Grand Digue; three brothers, Napoleon and Alyre, both of Cocagne and Henrie of Moncton; 46 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The body is resting at the Cocagne Parish Church with the funeral service to be held from the Cocagne Roman Catholic Church 9 a.m. today. Interment will be in the Cocagne Roman Catholic Cemetery.
