Leonel D. Leger -
The death of Leonel D. Leger of Grande Digue, occurred Friday at Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital following a brief illness. He was 83. Born in Grande Digue he was a son of the late Dominique and Sarah (LeBlanc) Leger and was a retired CNR carman. He attended the Grande Digue Roman Catholic Church. His first wife, Ozelie Robichaud died in 1967. He is survivied by his wife, Elina Arsenault; seven daughters, Mrs. Calixte Mills (Eladie) of Buctouche, Mrs. Yvonne LeBlanc of Buctouche, Mrs. Joseph Allain (Corinne) of Hollywood, Calif., Mrs. Aguila Leger (Bosia) of Hollywood, Calif., Mrs. Marcel Goguen (Rita) of Shediac, Mrs. Rimi Hache (Maria) of Kitchener, Ont, and Mrs. Nick Lyson (Therese) of Toronto; five sons, Laurie of Dieppe, Dominique of Moncton, Edgar of Rutter, Ont., Lionel of Fredericton and Roger of Grande Digue; one sister, Mrs. Lionide Arsenault of Moncton; 38 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held today at the Grande Digue Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
