Aquila Leger Grand Digue (Special) -
The death of Aquila Leger of Grand Digue occurred Saturday at the Villa Providence home for the aged in Shediac following a lengthy illness. He was 74. Born at Cocagne Cape, he was a son of the late Amand and Celine (LeBlanc) Leger. He was a retired farmer and attended the Grand Digue Roman Catholic Church. His first wife, the former Zelicca Cormier, died in 1946. He is survived by his second wife, the former Ida Babineau; three daughters, Mrs. Raoul Caissie (Ozelie), Cocagne Cape; Mrs. Edgar Donelle (Lorina), Caissie Cape and Mrs. Pierre Leger (Dorice), Cormierville; two sons, Alcide and Leandre, both of Cocagne Cape; two sisters, Marguerite Leger and Elise Leger, both of Cocagne Cape; two brothers, Henrie, Cocagne Cape and Ovilla, Cocagne; 29 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. The body is resting at Frenette's funeral home, Shediac. The funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Grand Digue Roman Catholic Church. Burial willl be in the church cemetery.
