CAISSIE, LAURIE -
71, of Moncton passed away on Monday, September 21, at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton on September 3, 1938, he was the son of the late Joseph and Marguerite (Saulnier) Caissie. Laurie was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan and loved playing pool, darts and spending time at his cottage in Bouctouche. He was a 3rd Degree member with the Knights of Columbus and the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Golden Age Club. Besides his loving wife of 47 years, Anne-Marie (LeBlanc), of Moncton, he is survived by his son, Charles (Denise), his sisters, Bertha Gould (Alfred), Geneva Landry (Adrien), Corinne Bourque (late Pierre), Dorice Gauvin (Gerald), Louise Robichaud, Norma Léger (late Clarence), Diana Léger (Jean-Paul) and Christine Gaudet (late Clarence); his grandchildren, Michelle, Josée, Émilie, Céleste and Scott, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by two sons, Pierre and Marc; a daughter-in-law, Suzanne; and a granddaughter, Angèle. The family will receive condolences at Frenette's Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Thursday from 10 am until time of departure (10:45). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce R.C. Church (Parkton) on Thursday, September 24 at 11 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
