BOURQUE, WILLIAM - 1924-2009 -
William Bourque, 84, of Cap Pelé passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, June 29, 2009. Born July 1, 1924 in Port Elgin, he was the son of the late Maurice and Émilienne (Léger) Bourque. Mr. Bourque was a Reservist in the Royal Canadian Army and was a retired employee with Lakeburn Lumber. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 91 and the Club d'âge d'or in Cap Pelé. He will be sadly missed by his wife Dorina (Belliveau) Bourque, six sons: Alfred (Lina) of Val-Belair, QC, Omer of Haute-Aboujagane, Georges at home, Bernard (Jackie) of Ottawa, ON, William Jr. (Karen) and Laurie (Dawn) both of Salisbury; 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a daughter in law Rita (Arsenault) Bourque of Moncton. He is predeceased by a son Jean Maurice (1998), three sisters: Doris, Laura and Léonie. Visitation at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Rd., Cap Pelé (577-3297) on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of departure 10:20 a.m. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Ste. Thérèse d'Avila Roman Catholic Church, Cap Pelé. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ste. Thérèse d'Avila Cemetery Fund would be appreciated.
