Gertrude Duguay 1920 -2008 -
Gertrude Duguay, 88, of Bas Cap-Pelé passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2008, at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born January 25, 1920 in Haute-Aboujagane, she was the daughter of the late Théophile and Mélina (Boudreau) Léger. Loving mother and grandmother, she will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Eva LeBlanc (Gérald) of Cap-Pelé, Brenda Duguay (Bernie Allain) of Moncton; and two sons, Bernard and Ronnie (Carmelle LeBlanc) both of Cap-Pelé; nine grandchildren, Sébastien, Sasha, Gabriel, Pascale, Conrad, Jason, Annik, Renelle, Shelley; eight greatgrandchildren. She was a special aunt to Harry and Jeanne LeBlanc. She is predeceased by her husband, Léo P. Duguay (in 2004); three sisters, Sara, Élizabeth, Rosalie; and four brothers, Gérard, Henri, Aquila and Léandre. Visitation at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Rd., Cap-Pelé (577-3297) on Tuesday, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and Wednesday, from 10 am until time of departure, 10:50 am. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Ste-Thérèse d'Avila R.C. Church, Cap-Pelé. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In her memory, donations to the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital Foundation (862-4285), or the Beauséjour Family Crisis Resource Center (533-9100), would be appreciated.
