CAP-PELÉ, NB - Amanda Cormier, 91, wife of the late Alphonse Cormier of Manoir de la Butte and formerly of Acadie Rd., Cap-Pelé passed away suddenly on Friday, May 26, 2006 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born in Cap-Pelé, she was the daughter of the late Patrick Landry and the late Léonie Gaudet. She is survived by two daughters, Gisèle Landry (Réginald) of Cap-Pelé, Francine Archibald (Douglas) of Shediac Cape; two sons, Louis (Aline Fowler) and Bernard (Jeanita) all of Moncton; three sisters, Marie-Louise LeBlanc of Shediac, Thérèse Richard of Sackville, Madeleine Léger of Cap-Pelé; two brothers, Camille Landry of Fitchburg, Mass., Ernest Landry of Cap-Pelé; eleven grandchildren and by fifteen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Alphonse (2002), one daughter Georgette (2003) and by three brothers, Jude, Azor and Ambroise Landry. Visitation at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Rd., Cap-Pelé (577-3297) on Sunday, from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and Monday, from 10a.m. until time of departure (10:50a.m.). Funeral mass will be held at Ste. Thérèse d'Avila Roman Catholic Church, Cap-Pelé on Monday, May 29, 2006 at 11a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. If so desired, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of N. B. or to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Foundation.
