E. Leger Sackville (Special) -
The death of Ernest Leger occurred Monday at his home in Middle Sackville. He was 66. Born in Middle Sackville, he was a son of Fernand Leger and the late Delina (LeBlanc) Leger. He was employed with Enamel Heating Products Ltd. in Sackville for 44 years. Besides his father, he is survived by his wife, the former Alice Richard; six daughters, Mrs. Aurele Hicks (Jean) of Middle Sackville; Mrs. Stanley Lorette (Louise) of Dorchester; Mrs. Vincent Chevaire (Doris) of Black's Harbor, Mrs. Stephen Banbridge (Alma) of Chester Basin; Mrs. Ernest Ward (Albertine) of West Sackville, and Mrs. Laurie Gallant (Anita) of Shediac Bridge; one son, Ivan of Toronto; four sisters, Mrs. Alban Richard, Mrs. Amedie Gallant, Mrs. Anita Poirier and Mrs. Joseph Leger; five brothers, Tilman of Toronto; Alban of Oshawa, Ont.; Meddie of Sackville; Leon of Middle Sackville and Joseph of Shediac Bridge; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The body is resting at Jones' funeral home in Sackville, Funeral mass will be celebrated at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Middle Sackville. Entombmnet will be in the Sackville Recieving vault, to await burial in the spring.
