Edna Cormier
1923-2005
SHEDIAC, NB - Edna Cormier, 82, wife of the late Leandre Cormier, 1988, of Rue Pascale Poirier Résidence aux Bon Soins, Shediac, NB, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital on Thursday, February 17, 2005 after a brief illness. Born in St-Antoine on January 2, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Désiré Leger and the late Marguerite Maillet. She was a retired housewife. She attended St-Pierre-de-Cocagne and was a member of the Club d'Age d'Or de Cocagne. Edna is survived by two daughters, Bernice Cormier (Thomas McFadden) of Bouctouche, Ginette Bouzanne (Randy) of Keswick, Ont; seven sons, Leonard Cormier (Rachel), Fernand (Léa), Normand (Diane), Joseph from Cocagne, Maurice (Louise Cté) of Dieppe, Gilles of St-Antoine, Ronald (Laurina Kennedy) of Notre-Dame-des-Prairie, Qué; four sisters, Léona LeBlanc (Eric) of St-Antoine, Geraldine Richard (Henri) of Cocagne, Geneva Boucher (Joe) of Dieppe, Dora Cormier (Normand) of Moncton; three brothers, Yvon Leger (Georgeline), Paul Leger (Geraldine) of St-Antoine, Emery Leger (Thérese) of Cocagne; 17 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Edith; one brother, Eric; and one son, Louis. Resting at Coopérative Funeraire Passage Funeral Co-operative with visitation on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Monday from 2 till 3:30 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at St-Pierre de Cocagne Roman Catholic Church, Cocagne on Monday, February 21, 2005 at 4 pm. Interment will take place in The Parish Cemetery later. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation and Le Phare des Services Communotaire de Bouctouche.
