Mrs. A. Bourque Buctouche (Special) -
Mrs. Amanda Bourque, widow of Thaddee Bourque, died in Saint John on Monday. She was 80. Born in Bouctouche, she was a daughter of the late Eustache Pellerin and Mary Arsenault. She is survived by three sons, Gerard, of Moncton; Edgar, of Montreal and Alderic of Buctouche; four daughters, Mrs. Edward Allain (Leona), and Mrs. Jack MacPhail (Edmee), both of Bouctouche, Mrs. Bertin Cormier (Florine), of Cap Pele, and Sister Nelida Bourque of Moncton; one adopted daughter, Mrs. Omer Doiron (Magella), of Cap Pele; three brothers, Emile and Hilaire, of Buctouche, and Leonard of Shediac; two sisters, Mrs. Ambroise Leger (Lea) of Shediac; and Mrs. Alban Richard (Edmee) of Moncton; 33 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The body is resting at Maillet's Funeral Home in Buctouche. Funeral mass will be Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Buctouche. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
