Funeral Mrs. Evangeline Leger at Memramcook West Largely Attended (Special to the Times) Memramcook, Sept. 2 -
The funeral of Mrs. Evangeline Leger, wife of Honore Leger, Memramcook West, whose death occurred on August 30, took place today with service in St. Thomas Church. A requiem high mass was celebrated and the edifice was well filled with relatives and friends of the deceased. She was well known in the community and was respected by a wide circle of friends. Her husband, five sons and six daughters are left to mourn: Alban, of Moncton, employee of Scovils Limited; Thaddie, Alphee, Eugene, all of Memramcook, and Antoine at home; Mrs. Alfred (Hermanee) Gaudet, Moncton; Mrs. Jacques (Leona) Poirier, St. Joseph; Mrs. Aurele (Annie) Gaudet, and Mrs. Ludger (Marie) Guimet, both of Hartford, Conn., and Alice at home. Three brothers and one sister also survive: Fred H. Boudreau, Memramcook; Camille, Fredericton; Alphie, Moncton; and Merlindy Boudreau, Memramcook. Rev. Father Raymond Boudreau, Moncton, nephew of the deceased, officiated at the mass. Following the service interment was made in the church cemetery. The pallbearers were Henry Gaudet, Alfred Gaudet, Francis Leger, Arcade Cormier, Camille Leger and Emile Leger.
