    Mme Aurèle Gauvin née Marie Léger du 174 avenue Floral à Dieppe autrefois de Fox Creek est décédée à l'hôpital Dr Georges Dumont le 2 janvier 1975 après une longue maladie à l'âge de 72 ans.

    Née à Haute Aboujagane, elle était la fille de Edouard et de Delphine (LeBlanc) Léger.

    Elle faisait partie de la paroisse de Saint-Anselme.

    Elle laisse dans le deuil autre son époux; deux filles : Mme Adolphe LeBlanc (Géraldine) de Memramcook-Ouest; Mme Raymond LeBlanc (Pauline) de Malborough, Mass; un fils; Emile de Lewisville; trois sœurs : Mme Fred Melanson (Léa) de Ludlow, Mass; Soeur Géraldine Léger, n.d.s.c de Moncton; Mme Léo Léger (Hélène) de Lachine, P.Q.; trois frère : Henri et Alban de Ludlow, Mass; Gérard de Shédiac. Elle laisse aussi quatre petits-enfants.

    La dépouille mortelle est exposée au salon funéraire Frenette, de Moncton, au no 88 de la rue Church. Les funérailles auront lieu samedi à 11 heures avec service funèbre en l'église de Saint-Anselme et inhumation dans le cimetière de la paroisse.

    Les heures de visites au salon sont aujourd'hui de 14 à 16 heures et de 19 à 21 heures.

    J. Arthur Legere, 77 of River Hebert died Thursday at the Prince Edward Island Hospital, Charlottetown. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Archie Legere. He is survived by his wife, the former Dorothy Gaudet. The body is at Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst. Funeral mass will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, River Hebert, Father William Slaney officiating. The body will be placed in the Amherst cemetery receiving vault with burial in the Ragged Reef cemetery in the spring.

    LEGER. George J. Leger, 90, of 115 Maureen Dr., Bristol, widower of Beatrice (Moquin) Leger, died Tuesday, (June 18, 1996) at Bristol Hospital. Mr. Leger was born September 10, 1905 in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, and was a son of the late Thomas and Eugenie (Bourgeois) Leger. A Bristol resident since 1922, he was employed at Veeder-Root Co., Hartford, for 45 years retiring in 1965. He was a member of St. Ann Church, Bristol, and was a member of the League of Sacred Heart Society. Mr. Leger is survived by two daughters and sons-in- law, Irene and Tim Driscoll of Farmington, and Janet and Ted Schultz of Bristol; two sisters, Gilberta Duprey of Bristol, and Lena Melanson of New Brunswick, Canada; five grandchildren, Amy Den Ouden of Hebron, George Driscoll of Eastham, MA, Tim Driscoll of Farmington, Todd and Corey Schultz of Bristol; a special great granddaughter, Emily Marie Schultz; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, (June 20), 10 a.m. at St. Ann Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol on Thursday from 8:45-9:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Dr., Wallingford, 06492.

    Mrs. M. Gauvin -
    The death of Mrs. Marie Gauvin, wife of Aurele Gauvin, of 174 Floral Avenue, Dieppe, and formally of Fox Creek, occurred Thursday at Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital following a long illness. She was 72. Born at Upper Aboujagane, she was a daughter of Edouard and Delphine (LeBlanc) Leger. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Adolphe LeBlanc (Geraldine) of Memramcook West, and Mrs. Raymond LeBlanc (Pauline) of Marlborough, Mass.; one son, Emile Gauvin of Lewisville; three sisters, Mrs. Fred Melanson (Lea) of Ludlow, Mass., Sister Geraldine Leger, NDSC, Moncton, and Mrs. Leo Leger (Helen) of Lachine, Que.; three brothers, Henrie and Alban, both of Ludlow and Gerard Leger of Shediac, and by four grandchildren. The body is resting at Frenette's funeral home, Moncton. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Anselme Roman Catholic church with interment in the church cemetery.

    Claudia Crowe, 94, of the Grass Nursing Home, Riverview and formerly of Moncton and St. Paul, with her loving family by her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, April 2, 2008. Born in Shediac, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Alina (Petitpas) Leger. A homemaker, she attended St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, Moncton and St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, St. Paul. Claudia will be missed by family and friends who knew her for her kindness. From a very young age she was the caregiver to her six siblings, and although she had no children of her own, she helped in raising her many nieces and nephews. She strived for perfection in all her endeavors, including baking, quilting, crocheting, reading, playing bingo. Claudia will be sadly missed by her brother, Adelard (Duke) Leger (Florida), Moncton; half sister, Theresa LeBlanc (Gene), Shediac; nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harold (Scotty) Crowe (1978); sisters, Emilienne, Augusta, Rita; brother, Alyre (Joe). Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Friday, 2 to 4, 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, St. Paul, Saturday, 10:30 am, Rev. Guy Legendre officiating. Reception to follow at the church. Interment in the Parish Cemetery.     Jude LeBlanc Shediac, Feb. 22 -
    The death of Jude LeBlanc, of Fitchburg, Mass., at the age of 90 years occurred on Friday of last week. The deceased was a native of Upper Aboujagane and had resided in Fitchburg for about 25 years, having gone there from his old home in Upper Aboujagane. He was predeceased by his wife 23 years ago and he leaves to mourn seven children, Adolphe, of Malden, Mass.; Mrs. Hubert Bernard, of New Bedford, Mass.; Donat, of Saint John; Stanislas, of Fox Creek; Mrs. Edward Leger, of Shediac; Hypolite, of Upper Aboujagane, and Julien, of Hartford, Conn.; also two brothers, Onesime LeBlanc, of Hartford, Conn., and Teophil LeBlanc, of Moncton, and one sister, Mrs. Gaspard LeBlanc, of Robichaud Office. The body arrived in Shediac Saturday evening where it rested at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Leger until Sunday afternoon, when it was taken to Upper Aboujagane by motor hearse for burial. The funeral service was held from the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus with Rev. Father A. A. Leger officiating. The pallbearers were Camil LeBlanc, great grandson of the deceased, and Alphonse LeBlanc, Henry Leger, Hubert, Gerald and Emile Leger, grandsons of the deceased. The large concourse of friends and relatives that gathered at the church, as well as the large number of floral tributes and mass cards testified to the high esteem in which the deceased was held.
