Est décédé des suites d’un accident près de McKees Mills, M. Raymond Léger, du Cap-de-Cocagne. Il était âgé de 34 ans.
Originaire de Grande-Digue, il était le fils d’Irénée et Dorice Babineau-Léger.
Il laisse dans le deuil, outre ses parents, sa fiancée, Lucille Arsenault; trois soeurs: Mme Armand Caissie (Maria), de Saint-Antoine; Mme Laurie LeBlanc (Louise), de Cocagne; Mlle Dorine Léger, de Grande-Digue.
Il laisse égement plusieurs neveux et nièces.
La dépouille a été confiée à la maison funéraire Frenette de Shédiac et les funéraires auront lieu en l’église de la Visitation, de Grande-Digue.

Three die in N.B. accidents

An elderly Albert County man killed Sunday when the farm tractor he was operating overturned was among at least three people to die as a result of motor vehicle mishap in the region over the weekend. New Brunswick Highway Patrol said Simon Harrison, 61, of Stoney Creek died when the farm tractor rolled backwards down a steep driveway into the ditch where the tractor overturned, crushing him. Police said the mishap occurred at about 12:30 p.m. along the stoney Creek Road. No one else was involved. Petitcodiac NBHP members investigated the Mishap. Raymond Leger, 34, of Cap de Cocagne, was killed Saturday night when the vehicle he was driving went out of control in a turn along McKees Mills Road and stuck a utility pole. NBHP said Leger was proceding northeast along McKees Mills about three kilometers from St. Antoine when the mishap occurred shortly before 8 p.m. The lone passenger, identified as Odilon Belliveau, 34, of St. Paul was admitted at Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital Moncton but released Sunday morning. Police said neither occupants were wearing seat belts at the time. Leger was crushed under the vehicle in the mishap, said the spokesperson. Road and weather conditions are good at the time. The road leads to Highway 11 and the Town of Buctouche, NBHP in St. Antoine investigated the crash. Nick Steve LePage, 20, of Dundee, was killed when the car he was driving failled to negotiate a turn along Route 280 in Dundee and overturned serveral times, LePage was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead on arrival at hospital. The crash occurred at about 5:06 p.m. No other vehicle or person was involved. Born in Grande-Digue, Leger was a son of Irenee and Dorice (Babineau) Leger. He was a fisherman by profession and attended La Visitation Roman Catholic Church, Grande-Digue. Besides his parents, he is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Armand Caissie (Maria) of St. Antoine, Mrs. Laurie LeBlanc (Louise) of Cocagne and Miss Dorine Leger of Grande-Digue: several nieces and nephews. The body is at Frenette's Funeral Home, Shediac, Funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at La Visitation Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
