Albert Leger
1925 - 1998

Mr. Albert Leger, 73 of the Veteran’s Unit at the Dr. Georges-L Dumont Hospital, and formerly of Norwood Avenue, Moncton, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 1998 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital.

Born in Scoudouc, he was the son of the late Albert and the late Alma (Melanson) Leger. Mr. Leger was a retired electronic technician as well as a commissionaire. He was both a Korean and WWII veteran, and a Branch #6 Legion member.

Mr. Leger is survived by his wife Rita (LeBlanc) Cormier-Leger of Dieppe; one son, Joseph "Joe" (Bernice) Cormier of Dieppe; one sister Irene Mador of Verdun, PQ; one brother Paul (Yolande) of Moncton; a daughter-in-law Yvonne Cormier of Moncton; seven grand children; Josette, Charline, Michel, Tyler, Charlotte, Kim and Shelly; three great grandchildren: Mathieu, Miguelle and Jasmin as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Roger in 1997, a granddaughter Rita in 1997 and also by a sister Ella Gaudet in 1998.

Visitation will be held from Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Thursday, August 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held from Ste Therese Roman Catholic Church on Friday, August 14, 1998 at 10 o’clock with interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. A legion service will be held on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
