Mrs. U. Hovey Bathurst (Special) -
Word has been received of thr death of a former Bathurst resident Mrs. Maude Hovey widow of Ulmont Hovey, which occurred suddenly on Sunday in Noblesville, Indiana. She was 80. Born in Bathurst she was the former Maude Rennie, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Hardey) Rennie. She received her early education in Bathurst and studied violin at the Boston Conservatory of music. She taught music in Augusta, Maine, where she lived for many years following her marriage. Her husband died several years ago. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Fritz (Ruth) of Arizona, and Mrs. Edward Huber (Nettieville) of Noblesville, Indiana; two sons, Eugene of Boston, and John, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, three sisters, Mrs. James Thompson (Ethel) and Mrs. Peter Leger (Evelyn) both of Bathurst and Mrs. Julie Melvin of Detroit, and 11 grandchildren. Funeral service and interment will be in Augusta.
