The death of Mrs Elisabeth Leger, widow of Calixte Leger of Barachois occurred Monday at the Birchmount Nursing Home, Moncton following a lengthy illness. She was 77. Born in Upper Aboujagan, she was the daughter of the late Urbain and Delphine (Thibodeau) Boudreau. She attended St Henrie Roman Catholic Church, Barachois. Her husband died in 1947. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Jean Marcel Emard (Anna), Montreal, Que., Mrs. Laurie Brun (Delphine), New Jersey, and Mrs. Leonide LeBlanc (Yvonne), Cape Bald; five sons, Albenie, Camille, Adrice, all of Barachois, Amede of Cape Bald and Alfred, Gardner, Mass.; 27 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of a family of five. The body is resting at Frenette's funeral home, Shediac with funeral service to be held Wednesday after noon at 4 o'clock from St. Henrie Roman Catholic Church here. The body will be placed in the vault in the parish cemetery to await interment in the spring.
