Alice Hébert, 93, wife of the late Horeb Hébert, of St-André-LeBlanc, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Villa Providence in Shediac where she resided. Born April 9, 1919 St-André-LeBlanc, she was the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Ida (Richard) Melanson. Alice was employed with Cape Bald Packers prior to her retirement. She enjoyed reading, knitting, quilting, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her six children: Bénita Léger (Yvon) of Haute-Aboujagane,Rose Gould (Guy) of Shemogue, Ernest (Thérèse) and Yvon (Gisèle) of Cormier-Village, Albert (Aurella) of Bas-Cap-Pelé, Camille (Camilla) of St-André-LeBlanc; 13 grandchildren: Daniel, André, Martin, Mélanie, Benoît, Isabelle, Joël, Samuel, Patrick, Dominique, Karine, Mathieu, Vanessa; nine great-grandchildren: Quinn, Brayden, Isabella, Justin, Nicholas, Dominique, Alexi, Caleb, Karelle; three sisters: Rita Spak, Laura Neville, and Florida Gervais all of Ontario; a brother, Roméo of Saskatchewan; a son-in-law, Gérald McGraw of Cormier-Village; many nieces, and nephews. Besides her husband, she is also predeceased by two children: Réginald, and Francine McGraw; her brothers and sisters: Marguerite Breau, Rosée Dupuis, Léo, Paul, Albert, Arthur, Joseph, and Sylvain. The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 2642, Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé (577-3297). Visiting hours Monday, January 21st from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, and Tuesday, January 22nd from 9:30 am until departure for Ste-Thérèse d’Avila R.C. Church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé, from where the funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. At the request of the family, in memory of Alice, a contribution to the Providence Foundation (Villa Providence), the Cap-Pelé Cemetery, or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
