Beatrice Evelyn Cunningham

SACKVILLE - Mrs. Beatrice Evelyn Cunningham, age 97, of Drew Nursing Home, Sackville and formerly of Cameron St., Moncton passed away at the home on Saturday, January 17, 1998.

Born on August 10, 1900 in Moncton, NB, she was the daugther of the late Eloi and Melanie (Richard) King. She attended both St. Augustine’s and St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church and was a member of the C.W.L. She was the last surviving member of the Moncton Red Wings Ladies Hockey team from 1920-1921.

She is survived by two sons, Ronald J.E. Cunningham (Margaret) of Dartmouth, NS, J. Alan Cunningham (Patricia) of Moncton; 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald E. Cunningham; one daughter, Joan Skidd; two sisters, Anita Leger, Almena Gaudet and one brother, Aurele King.

Remains resting at Cadman’s Funeral Home Ltd., 114 Alma Street, Moncton with visiting hours on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 20, 1998 at 11 a.m. wiih Father Bernard Sloan officiating. Interment in the Old Shediac Road Cemetery, Moncton, NB at at later date.
