The death of Joseph Zoel Cormier, of 11 Richmond Avenue, Lewisville, occurred At the Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital Wednesday following a brief illness. He was 50. Born in Moncton, he was a son of Mrs. Marie Anne (Richard) Cormier and the late Adolphe Cormier. He was a CNR brakeman and attended the St. Louis-de-France Roman Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the Second World War. Survivors include his wife Mrs. Madelaine F. (Leger) Cormier of Lewisville, his mother Mrs. Tranquille Daigle of Gardner Mass., one son Maurice J. Cormier of Fitchburg, Mass., one sister Mrs. Emile Bourque of Waltham, Mass., and one grand child. The body is resting at Frenette's funeral home, 88 Church Street, Moncton, The funeral service will be held Saturday at the St. Louis-de-France Roman Catholic Church in Lewisville. Entombment will be in the St. Thomas Roman Catholic cemetery vault in St. Joseph to await burial later in the spring in the family lot.
