Abel Bourque -
The death of Abel Bourque of Botsord Portage Westmorland County, occurred Friday at Moncton Hospital following a long illness. He was 70. Born at Cap Pele, he was a son of the late Patrick and Vitaline (Richard) Bourque. He was a retired lumberman. He is survived by his wife, the former Christine LeBlanc; seven daughters, Mrs. Fred Leger (Marceline) of Little Cape, Mrs. Ralston Bourque (Anitta), Mrs. Valerie Leger (Yvonne) and Mrs. Alyre Cormier (Cecile), all of Botsford Portage, Mrs. Francis Landry (Laurina) and Mrs. Livi Lirette (Alma), both of Barachois, and Mrs. Donald Boudreau (Corinne) of Dupuis Corner; one son, Herve Bourque of Barachois; five sisters, Mrs. Leo Melanson (Claudia) of Cap Pele, Mrs. Aldege Landry (Stella) and Mrs. Napoleon Landry (Devina), both of Dupuis Corner. Mrs. Raymond Myers (Caroline) of Peterborough, Ont., and Mrs. Willie LeBlanc (Maggie) of Little Cape; two brothers, Herve of Botsford Portage and Arthur Bourque of Cap Pele; 21 grandchildren and by four great grandchildren. The body is resting at Frenette's funeral home, Shediac. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Sunday at Cap Pele Roman Catholic Church with interment in the parish cemetery.
