Mrs. A. Landry SHEDIAC (Special) -
Mrs. Andrea Landry, 72, of 21 Smith St., Shediac, wife of Calixte Landry, died Thursday at her residence. Born in Gayton, she was a daughter of the late Ernest J. and Elizabeth (Boudreau) Leger. She was a retired school teacher and had operated C & D Landry Clothing Store, Shediac with her husband for 21 years. She retired in 1969. She attended St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac. She was past president and secretary of Dames D'Acadie, a former member of District 13 School Board and a member of Shediac Golden Age Club. Besides her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Michel Cyr (Leonette) of Campbellton, Mrs. Mounir Saba (Jocelyn) of Montreal, Mrs. Michel LeBlanc (Jeanne) of Fredericton and Miss Louise Landry at home; three sons, Victor of Scarborough, Ont., Andre of Halifax and Paul of Shediac; three sisters, Mrs. Exavier Brison (Alice) of Moncton, Sr. Corinne and Sr. Marie, both of Winooski, Vt.; two brothers, Alfred of Shediac and Antoine of Moncton; and eight grandchildren. A son, Ernest, a sister, Mrs. Salome LeBlanc, and a brother, Rev. Alphonse Leger, died previously. The body is at Frenette's Funeral Home, Shediac. Funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery.
