Adelin Savoie, 75, of 318 Bromley Avenue, Moncton, died Friday evening at the Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born at St. Maurice, Kent County, he was a son of the late Francois and Rosanne (Caissie) Savoie. He had owned and operated Acadian Construction until 1972 when he retired. He attended the Christ the King Roman Catholic Church. His wife, the former Lea Collette, died in 1978. he is survivied by four daughters, Mrs. Donald Leger (Rosemarie), Mrs. Roger Fournier (Fernande) and Mrs. Omer Maillet (Claudette), all of Moncton, and Mrs. Gilles Gallant (Simonne) of Maynard, mass.; an adopted son Alfred Dowling of Leominster, Mass.; two sons, Claude of Dieppe and Donald savoie of Ottawa; four sisters, Mrs. Lydia Belliveau of Quebec, Mrs. Leonie Cyr of Montreal, Mrs. Alma Guimond of Portland, Maine, and Mrs. Domethilde Roy of Moncton; two brothers, Amedee of Moncton and retired Senator Calixte Savoie of Dieppe; 18 grandchildren, and by nieces and nephews. The body will be at Frenette's Funeral Home, Moncton, this evening. Mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Monday from Christ the King Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be held in the Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery.
