Mrs. S. LeBlanc -
The death of Mrs. Silfroi (Clementine) LeBlanc, 80 Champlain Street, Dieppe, occurred Saturday at Hotel Dieu following a lengthy illness. She was 73 years of age. Active in church and community affairs, Mrs. LeBlanc, was born in Memramcook, a daughter of the late Clement and Catherine (Doucet) Leger. She attended St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, where she was organist for 26 years. She was president for five years of the St. Ann Society, president of the St. Vincent de Paul Society for several years, was a member of the Board of Directors of the Children's Welfare Society and was a member of St. John's Ambulance. She is survived by her husband, Sifroi LeBlanc, Dieppe, two sons, Gerard LeBlanc, Dieppe and Dr. Clement LeBlanc, Moncton; four sisters; Mrs. Edouard Landry (Yvonne), Moncton, Miss Lorette, Miss Adrienne and Miss Marie Leger, all of Memramcook, two brothers, Herman Leger, Memramcook and Dr. Gerard Leger, Moncton. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Chantal and Marc LeBlanc of Moncton. The body is resting at Frenette's funeral home, 88 Church Street, Moncton, with funeral mass to be celebrated today at 4:00 p.m. at St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Charterville.
