E. J. Cormier
Edmond J. Cormier, 94, of Residence Notre Dame de Sacre Coeur, Dieppe, died at his residence Friday.
Born in St. Paul, he was a son of the late Henri and Emelie (Leger) Cormier. He was a member of St Anselme Roman Catholic Church. He was a member of the St. Anselme Golden Age Club. He was a veteran of the First Wold War. He had been a farmer. His wife, Lina (Dionne) Cormier, died previously.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Clovis Albert (Yvonne) of Shediac; five sisters, Florence of Haiti, Mrs. Armand Bourgeois (Anita) of St. Anselme, Sr. Jeanine of Grand Falls, Mrs. Leonard LeBlanc (Emelie) of Hartford, Conn., and Mrs. Leandre Maillet (Phyllis) of Leominster, Mass.; four sons, Yvon of St. Paul, Adelard and Henri, both of St. Anselme, and Oscar of Shediac; a sister, Mrs. Alyre Cormier (Anna) of Dieppe; two brothers, Alfred and Eric, both of Gardner, Mass.; 56 grandchildren and 85 great-grandchildren. A brother, Alyre, died previously.
The body is at Chartersville Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated Monday at a time to be announced at St. Anselme Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe. Burial will be in the St. Anselme parish cemetery.
