LEGERE (Milner), Jean Lila -
Salmon River, Colchester Co., passed away peacefully with her loving children at her side, Sunday, February 19, 2012, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born August 30, 1929, in Debert, she was a daughter of the late Nelson and Cora (McRae) Milner. She is survived by daughter, Deborah MacKenzie (Blaine McCurdy) of Manganese Mines and children, Daniel (Ruth) of Lower Harmony; Tim (Amanda) and children, Kayleigh and Rylee, all of Belmont; stepson, Jeremy of Halifax; sons, Karl of Salmon River and his daughters, Karla Spicer (Dara) and their children, Jeremy, Kaitlyn, all of Lower Harmony, Veronica of Annapolis Valley; Kathleen and Sharlene "Charlie", both at home; son, Elmer (Heather) of Nuttby; son, Nathan, at home; daughter, Laura Westlake (David) of Truro and children, Robbie, Alex; son, Cecil (Barb) of Debert and their sons, Clifford of Halifax and Anthony of Ontario; sisters, Bella Milner, Truro; Diane Milner, Calgary; brother, Carmen (Diane), Debert; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Reg in 2001; sister, Vera Burris; brothers, Garnet, Walter, Raymond. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today, February 22 and funeral service 3 p.m. Thursday, February 23, all in Mattatall-Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young St., Truro. Rev. Lori Ramsey will officiate with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in Blackmore Memorial Cemetery, Upper North River. Family flowers only.
